The difference is in how you're served
There are thousands of licensed attorneys who can prepare your Estate Plan. But the customer service you receive makes all the difference. At the Intermountain Legal Group, we pride ourselves on exceeding our clients' expectations at every step.
We have structured our practice to provide our clients with the best possible planning experience — from the first conversation through the lifetime of their plan.
What we handle
Our practice is deliberately limited so we can give each client the depth of expertise and personal attention their situation deserves.
Comprehensive estate planning designed around your family's unique goals and circumstances. We help you build a lasting legacy with clarity and confidence.
Strategic legal counsel for business owners — from entity formation and succession planning to protecting the enterprise you've worked hard to build.
Legal frameworks that complement your financial retirement strategy, ensuring your assets are structured and protected as you approach and enter retirement.
Proactive legal strategies to shield your hard-earned assets from potential future claims, creditors, and unforeseen circumstances — before problems arise.
Carefully drafted wills and trust documents that reflect your intentions precisely, minimize family conflict, and help your loved ones avoid unnecessary legal complications.
Compassionate, efficient guidance through the probate process for families navigating the legal transfer of assets after the loss of a loved one.
Our No Surprises Billing Policy ensures you will never receive a bill that you do not know is coming and have not already agreed to pay. All fees are disclosed and agreed to in advance, so you can plan with confidence and focus on what matters most — your family and your future.
The best plans are born from coordinated teamwork. We help bring your full team of advisors together — your CPA, attorney, financial planner, and insurance agent — to create the most comprehensive and cohesive solution possible. No advisor works in isolation; every perspective is heard.
The real things that drive your plan are your goals and desires for those you love and care about. This is the heart of any estate plan. We expect your team of advisors to present solutions that accomplish these personal objectives while solving any tax or legal challenges that arise along the way.
We strive to create lifelong relationships with our clients. Our annual maintenance program brings you in each year to review your family goals, any changes in family circumstances or assets, and shifts in tax and estate law. Needed updates are identified and your plan is kept current. The program also includes free phone calls and word processing changes — such as name changes, updates to trustees, or changes in personal representatives.
A plan that grows with you
Life changes. Laws change. Your estate plan should keep pace. Our annual maintenance program is built to ensure your plan is always aligned with your current circumstances, your evolving family goals, and the latest changes in tax and estate law.
Each year, we meet with you to review your family's goals — what matters most, what's changed, and where your priorities now lie. This is the foundation of keeping your plan meaningful.
Marriages, divorces, births, inheritances, new businesses — life brings change. We assess any shifts in your family circumstances or asset situation to ensure your plan still reflects reality.
The legal landscape shifts constantly. We review changes in tax and estate law each year and identify how they affect your plan — so you're never caught off guard by a legislative change.
Any identified changes are made and documented. Needed updates to your plan are implemented to ensure your goals are always accomplished as intended.
Between annual reviews, the program also covers free phone consultations and routine word processing changes — such as name changes, updates to trustees, or changes in personal representatives — at no additional cost.
Our goal is a lifelong relationship. We don't simply prepare documents and send you on your way. We are partners in your planning journey — now and in every chapter that follows.
Your whole team,
working as one
The best estate and financial plans don't happen in isolation. They are the product of coordinated effort across all of your trusted advisors. At Intermountain Legal Group, we take an active role in bringing your entire advisory team together — so every perspective is aligned and every strategy works in concert.
Tax strategy and accounting insight integrated directly into your estate and financial planning process.
Legal documentation, structure, and compliance — the foundation of any sound estate or business plan.
Investment and retirement strategy aligned with your legal plan to maximize both growth and protection.
Risk management and coverage strategies that complete the picture and protect what matters most.
What exactly does "focused practice" mean for me as a client?
It means we do not try to be all things to all people. Our practice is limited to Estate Planning (including Wills, Trusts, and Probates), Business Planning, Retirement Planning, and Asset Protection. This focus allows us to develop genuine depth in these areas and deliver a higher quality of service than a general practice firm could provide.
How does your No Surprises Billing Policy work?
Very simply: you will never receive a bill that you do not know is coming and have not already agreed to pay. Before any work begins, all fees are disclosed and agreed to in advance. There are no hidden costs and no unexpected invoices. You always know exactly what you're committing to before you commit.
What is Collaboration Based Planning and how does it benefit me?
The best estate and financial plans have input from all of your advisors — your CPA, attorney, financial planner, and insurance agent. Rather than working in silos, we actively help bring your full team together so that every strategy is coordinated and every decision is informed by the complete picture of your situation.
What does your Values Based Approach mean in practice?
It means we begin with what matters most to you — your goals and desires for your loved ones. Rather than leading with tax strategy or legal structures, we start with your values and then build a plan designed to accomplish those personal objectives. Tax and legal solutions follow from that foundation, not the other way around.
What does the annual maintenance program include?
Our annual maintenance program brings you in each year to review your family goals, any changes in family circumstances or assets, and any changes in tax and estate law. Needed updates to your plan are identified and implemented. The program also includes free phone calls and routine word processing changes — such as name changes, trustee updates, or changes in personal representatives — at no additional cost.
What kinds of document changes are included at no extra cost?
As part of our annual maintenance program, routine word processing changes are included at no additional charge. These include things like name changes, updates to trustees, and changes in personal representatives. More substantial amendments to your plan's structure or intent are handled on a case-by-case basis with full fee transparency.
Ready to build a plan that lasts a lifetime?
At Intermountain Legal Group, we're committed to exceeding your expectations — from the first conversation to your annual review and every milestone in between. Let's get started.
