Planning That
Protects What
Matters Most
A well-crafted estate plan is one of the most important decisions you will make for your family and your legacy. At Intermountain Legal Group, we deliver expert planning — wills, trusts, asset protection, and more — with the attentive, personal service you deserve.

Comprehensive Planning.
Lasting Results.
Our practice is exclusively focused on the areas where planning matters most — from protecting your estate to structuring your business and retirement for the future.
Wills, trusts, and comprehensive documents that ensure your wishes are honored, your assets transferred efficiently, and your loved ones protected.
Strategic entity structures, succession planning, and operating agreements designed to protect your business interests today and into the future.
Coordinating retirement assets with your estate plan to minimize tax exposure and maximize what passes to your heirs and beneficiaries.
Legal strategies that shield your wealth from creditors, litigation, and unforeseen claims — without sacrificing control or flexibility.
From a straightforward will to a complex revocable or irrevocable trust structure, we draft instruments built to last and built to work.
Guidance through the probate process — straightforward, efficient representation that reduces delay and protects the estate's value.
There are thousands of licensed attorneys who can prepare an estate plan. What sets us apart is the quality of the experience. Our practice is structured so every client receives attentive, thoughtful counsel — not a form document and a handshake.

Decades of Dedicated Planning Experience
Joe Morton's work in estate planning began in 1984 as a life and health insurance agent — giving him a uniquely practical foundation for the legal work that followed. After completing a judicial clerkship in Utah and two years teaching at the college level, he launched his legal practice in 1996.
From the outset, Joe's practice has been exclusively concentrated in estate, business, and retirement planning and asset protection. That focused depth — rather than a generalist's breadth — is the foundation of the firm's reputation.
Joe lectures frequently on estate planning for public audiences as well as for the insurance and legal communities, and is recognized as one of the region's leading practitioners in this field.
